Challenge Started

So folks, the crafting has begun, and so far I have made ten different flowers. I decided to begin I would use a old silk skirt I got at the beach two summers ago. I cut along all the hemmed edges instead of the frayed look from Maze. I really like how they are coming out and I think its time to step my game up and find some different more brilliant fabrics.

i only have two pics to show because its late and my flash on my camera is being screwy, but I wanted to get up a taste of the finished project.

I really love how easy this project was. If you haven't already checked out the project go back and click on the link! Twas super easy, I spent maybe 10 minutes on each flower. I have to go dig out the glue gun so I can accessorize some headbands. I love wearing floral accessories to work in the floral department. I feel it gives me more credit that I work and wear flowers :)

carry on!
(That was my Tim Gunn impression BTW)

My First Blog

I have decided to create this blog to share with the world my tips, tricks, crafts, fashion, and faux pas, and to hopefully help out those who are lost in the world of all that is Bess. That is by the way, my name... Don't forget it. I am 21 years young, love the color teal, and Marshall's Shoe Mega Shop is my weakness. Heres my plan, some days I will share my fashion: how I came up with the outfit and how I made things my own. I try and make my fashion unique to me. That being said many of my ideas for fashion are inspired by craft projects and I will share those with the world too. The title incase you were wondering is my way of looking at every peice of paper, fabric, shoes, bags and more. There are a multitude of possibilities for every outfit and I will delve into it all.... And Oh, the possibilities, I could blog also about my trials and errors.

I have been crafting since I was old enough to use an elmers glue stick. At the age of six I was making and selling perler bead christmas ornaments. At the age of ten I was sewing my own pillows. At 16 I scrapbooked my life story, and at 21 I work part time in the floral department of Stop&Shop. I decorate, beautify and craft all while getting paid :) I also go to school full time studying communications. It is of course the end of summer, and due to my large amount of free time, and ability to shop all day, I see no better time than now to seize the day and blog blog blog about my endevours.

For My first actual post I will work on a project I found on one of my favorite blogs: Frayed Flowers from Maize Hutton. Plan on turning one of these bad boys into a headband.

Until tomorrow.
